With two elected executives, seventeen elected senators, twelve hired directors and several other personnel, ASPLU is a high-paced environment that is charged with ensuring the maintenance and advancement of PLU student welfare. Representing issues that are student body concerns is an important responsibility that we do not take lightly, but that’s not all ASPLU does.

With well over one hundred different programs offered in the areas of dance, entertainment, lectures & films and traditional events, we provide a significant portion of the Universities programs every year. Similarly, we operate three student service auxiliaries that are responsible for providing specific resources to students. The Cave is a evening entertainment venue in the basement of the University Center, serving food and drink of many types, and is a great atmosphere for hanging out with friends or studying. IMPACT is the student organization’s advertising and design outlet, as they produce the Daily Flyer and manage over 36 bulletin boards around campus. Outdoor Recreation is PLU’s only outdoor program that allows students to experience everything from hiking Mt. Rainier to kayaking the beautiful Puget Sound, and the best part is that they welcome students of all experience levels. ASPLU also controls the over 3000 square-foot space most affectionately known as the “Lute Lounge,” which is a comfy seating and gaming area on the lower level of the University Center.
